Skeletal Scanning Using Meta Hunter

3D NLS Method. Scans were performed using a Meta Hunter with software that allowed visualization of all bones, surrounding soft tissues, and lymph nodes.

The NLS-research began with a whole-body assessment, followed by detailed assessments of the following body parts: head and neck; trunk and proximal shoulder;

pelvis and proximal femur. The study protocol for each anatomical region included the following data: large-scale NLS scanning in 3D mode on three mutually transverse planes;

and ultra-micro scanning patterns in the region of interest using spectral entropy analysis. The total study time was approximately 30 minutes.

Bone Scanning Method. Within 2 hours following an intravenous injection of 740 Mbk 99mTs-Technephore,

skeletal system bone scans were performed using a dual-detector gamma camera in both anterior and posterior views according to standard methods.

Images were acquired using a low-energy, high-resolution collimating optics system; the whole-body stage movement speed was 12–16 cm/min.

The scanning process took 15–20 minutes.Data Analysis. According to the Fleindler scale, an increase in focal or diffuse (homogeneous or heterogeneous)

chromogenicity of lesions exceeding 4 points is considered a marker of metastatic lesions during NLS imaging.

Bone marrow changes located directly beneath the degenerative intervertebral disc or near the articular surface are considered benign.

Spectral entropy analysis is crucial in all cases.High spectral similarity (D<0.425) to standard metastatic tumor subclones is generally termed metastatic lesions.

Validation of spectral entropy analysis results is based on histological examination of the ring body obtained after ring biopsy of bone tissue in the region of interest.

Spectral entropy analysis results were histologically confirmed in 99.1% of cases.The probability of metastatic lesions (during bone scans)

is assessed based on the location and number of hyperactive lesions, taking into account radiopharmaceutical overfixation.Meta Hunter boasts very broad functional coverage.
